It is really difficult to find a good quality, oak toilet seat. I started with a Mayfair oak seat from Amazon, and the reviews were right. It was junk and cracked into two pieces. So, I thought I would spend more for a better quality item. The Renovator's Supply seat is very well made and sturdy, but the color is terrible. When they say "golden oak," they mean orange. My husband said it was the color of pumpkin pie. It also arrived with a chip in the seat. Please see photos. You can see the color discrepancy between my gunstock oak floor, the Mayfair seat, and the pumpkin colored seat from Renovator's Supply. This is being returned ASAP.
